Ryan Mekota, Psy.D.
Director of Dual Diagnosis Services
Dr. Mekota provides both individual and group psychotherapy. He is trained in both cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy modalities and presently co-facilitates the Dual Diagnosis IOP at PBHS. Dr. Mekota’s psychotherapeutic interests include working with adults throughout the lifespan with and without comorbid neurological diagnosis as well as working with those struggling with substance use.
Dr. Mekota also specializes in providing neuropsychological services for adult and geriatric populations. Individuals with known or suspected neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions are referred to Dr. Mekota for comprehensive cognitive and psychological assessment. He specializes in evaluating and developing treatment plans for individuals presenting with dementia or memory complaints, head injury, possible cerebrovascular changes, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Dr. Mekota completed his undergraduate education in Psychology at John Carroll University and doctoral education in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
