Kate Klancher, MA, LPC

Adolescent IOP Coordinator

Kate Klancher graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ursuline College. She is currently holds a Counselor in Training licensure and will graduate with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University in December 2020. During her graduate studies, she collaborated with an international team of students to author and present a lecture entitled Individualistic and Collectivist Approaches to Counseling at the Vietnam Psychology Professional Development Conference in Ho Chi Minh City. Kate completed her practicum training at Moore Counseling where she led non-intensive outpatient groups and saw individual clients seeking help for substance use disorders.


Kate completed her internship at PBHS working with the adolescent team. She continues to co-facilitate the Adolescent Mental Health IOP group and works with adolescent and adult clients individually. Kate utilizes a variety of counseling techniques including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is currently an active member of the Ohio Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association.
