We offer a wide range of outpatient services:

The Intensive Outpatient Programs at PBHS provides group therapy in a safe, supportive, and validating environment. Treatment provides patients with the development of core skills to effectively cope with life's challenges and management of mental health and addition problems.

Individual Counseling for Adolescents and Adults

PBHS treats adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients following a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approach.  Each patient begins with an initial evaluation to determine what treatment would best meet their individual needs.  Once the appropriate level of care is determined, our clinicians create an individualized treatment plan to help each patient achieve his/her goals.  PBHS provides individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy.

Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management

PBHS provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management to adults with substance abuse and/or psychiatric diagnoses. Medication evaluation and monitoring is typically started after the patient's initial evaluation with a clinician is reviewed, and the treatment team determines that a medical evaluation is in order.  Please see our page regarding geriatric services to learn more about our specialty in the geriatric population.

Neuropsychological Assessments (For more information, click here)

PBHS provides neurocognitive assessment of dementia, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, learning disorders and many other neurological conditions. These assessments may include but are not limited to:

  • Intelligence Testing (IQ)

  • Personality Testing

  • Evaluation of depression and other mood disorders

Forensic Evaluation

Our services include assessments and expert testimony in a variety of civil and criminal cases by our licensed Forensic Psychologist. Please contact our office for additional information.

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

PBHS offers geriatric and outpatient ECT treatment as well as outpatient treatment for adults. Treatment with ECT is performed at Lake West Hospital on an outpatient basis through the surgery department.

Pharmacogenetic Testing (PGT)

This genetic test is designed to predict how patients may respond to common medications. By utilizing testing, we are minimizing the ‘trial and error’ of medication therapy. PGT also:

  • Identifies potentially harmful drug interactions

  • Assists clinicians in determining the most effective medication and dose, potentially reducing multiple medication trials

  • Provides evidence-based and guideline driven information with in-house clinical expertise for additional support
