Yiannoula (Sarris) Mavroidis, M.Ed., LPCC
Adolescent IOP Coordinator
Yiannoula graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology from The Ohio State University. As an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, she worked as a research assistant in Clinical Depression Laboratory and Self and Social Motivation Social Psychology laboratory . In August 2018, Yiannoula will have completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. While working on her Master’s, Yiannoula held a graduate assistantship working in a college counseling office working with the young adult population. She completed her practicum and clinical internship at PBHS.
Yiannoula currently specializes in the adolescent and young adult populations for individual therapy here at PBHS. She utilizes a variety of treatment methods including Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Yiannoula holds a passion for group work. Currently, she coordinates the Adolescent Mental Health IOP group at PBHS, which meets Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
In 2016, she was awarded the Ohio Association of Specialists in Group Work (OASGW) Emerging Leader Award. Yiannoula is 2018-2019, President of the Ohio Association of Specialists in Group Work. She is an active member of Ohio Counseling Association and American Counseling Association.
